On the 2nd November, Stratus Director Gavin Scotchbrook will be once again sleeping rough for a night in order to help raise awareness and funds to fight homelessness and poverty.
This event is part of the fantastic ongoing efforts from CEO Sleepout UK, a charity that challenges businesses leaders and executives to sleep rough for one night only.
What started in Teesside has spread to various other parts of the county and CEO Sleepout have now raised over a staggering £1M.
The Teesside 2017 event will once again take place at the Victorian Street at Preston Park Museum. Gavin took part in the event there last year and is delighted to once again be committing to the cause.
“I knew I had to take part in the CEO Sleepout again in 2017 to help fight poverty in our local community”, Gavin said.
“One night doesn’t sound a lot but it will feel like a long time when I’m there. But sadly there are people who are having to encounter this situation every night of the week and if I can do a tiny bit to help prevent that then I must take that opportunity”.
